The Hotel Le Pavillon Bastille welcomes holidaymakers discovering the delights of Paris as well as professionals visiting the capital on business. This three-star establishment in the 12th arrondissement is well situated for enjoying all that Paris has to offer, including the international contemporary art fair called FIAC Paris.
FIAC Paris; the essential event for art lovers today
Although Paris boasts a wealth of venerable monuments and museums, the city also celebrates contemporary creation in all its forms. Throughout the year, cultural hubs such as the Palais de Tokyo, the Pompidou Centre and the Cartier Foundation showcase young and emerging artists. Art galleries, especially those in the Marais and the 13th arrondissement, are prime venues for discovering the talents of tomorrow. The cultural life of the capital is also enriched by a major event in the contemporary art world, FIAC (Foire Internationale d'Art Contemporain). Organised every October since 1974, FIAC presents the work of thousands of artists, reveals art market trends and is an opportunity for gallery owners, collectors, patrons and other participants in the cultural sphere to meet.
An artistic journey in the heart of Paris
From October 17th to 20th, 2019, hundreds of galleries will set up their stands under the majestic glass roof of the Grand Palais. But FIAC is also an event that takes place outside the walls of this magnificent old building, and you can discover its various aspects during your wanderings around the capital. Impressive sculptures and installations are presented on the other side of the street, at the Petit Palais, as part of FIAC Projects. A little further away, in the Jardin des Tuileries, on the Place de la Concorde or around the Delacroix Museum, monumental works are presented outdoors. These eye-catching creations are an irresistible invitation to passers-by to pause for a few moments in contemplation.
