Soak up the sun while having lunch on the terrace

During your stay at the Hotel Pavillon Bastille, let yourself be tempted by some of the excellent restaurants in our vicinity, which offer ideal settings for a meal on the terrace. The Gentle Gourmet Café is a Parisian restaurant specialising in vegetarian cuisine. Here you can find some amazing vegan dishes carefully created using mainly organic products. If you’re not acquainted with the versatility and diversity of the vegan kitchen, you will be pleasantly surprised by the variety of the dishes on offer and their gustative richness and variety of flavours. The Grand Bleu restaurant offers traditional cuisine with tasty meat or fish dishes. With its marine world themed décor the Grand Bleu is a real breath of fresh air in the heart of the capital. Finally, for a lunch or dinner on the terrace, the Chez Paul restaurant is sheer perfection. You can enjoy typical dishes of French cuisine including, of course, melon with Auvergne ham, rabbit rillettes with rosemary or the crazy salad with Foie Gras, otherwise enjoy a drink in the shade of a parasol in this friendly and welcoming place.

The beach on the banks of the Seine

Each year the banks of the Seine are transformed into a beach resort with most of the amenities you would expect to find at the seaside! The Paris Plages event was launched for the first time in 2002. The idea is simple, but oh how seductive; to provide the opportunity for beach holidays in the heart of Paris each year from mid-July to mid-August. For Parisians, it is an opportunity to relax at the beach and enjoy the Sun without leaving the capital. An inviting array of activities are readied for the occasion and you can do just about everything you would normally do by the sea. Whether you enjoy beach volleyball, a game of table football, water sports, building sand castles or relaxing on a sun lounger, these options and many more are available as you wish. Restaurateurs offer tasty smoothies and fresh drinks and vendors have ice cream to cool you down. There are free music concerts in the evenings, and workshops and classes offering pastimes for all the family. In fact, this initiative of the Mayor of Paris is always a resounding success, so much so that Paris Plages enthusiasts come from all over France and even beyond!
