Discover and enjoy Paris with your family

Discover and enjoy Paris with your family

If you want to discover Paris with your family, you came to the right place. The Hotel Pavillon Bastille welcomes you and offers accommodation comprised of a Superior Double room and an adjoining Twin room; a perfect arrangement to ensure that you enjoy plenty of family togetherness. What’s more, this month we present a selection of fun and cultural activities in the heart of the capital that will delight both young and old.

Family fun in the park

Established in 1860, the Jardin d'Acclimatation has long been a family friendly treasure of entertainment nestled amidst the leafy surroundings of the Bois de Boulogne. Together, you and your loved ones can discover the many attractions of the park, including the miniature railway, and boat rides on the Enchanted River. There’s pony rides available at the equestrian centre, and you can end the day with the anarchic fun of a traditional puppet show.

Famous faces in wax

The Musée Grévin welcomes you in an amazing setting to discover more than 250 famous faces from around the world and throughout history. Mozart, Barack Obama, George Clooney, Einstein, Brad Pitt and Charlie Chaplin are just a few of those you’ll recognise in the gorgeous baroque surroundings of this astonishing wax museum. Families can enjoy a guided tour of the place and look behind the scenes to discover how these incredibly lifelike waxworks are made.

Discoveries for budding scientists

If your family has been bitten by the science bug, you’ll want to visit the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie to explore the Cité des Enfants, a place of discovery and interactive experiences for the whole family. The Cité des Enfants offers two exhibition programmes specially devised for children aged 2 to 7 years and from 5 to 12 years. It’s a unique opportunity to learn while having fun, whether building houses or joining in with water games. Then you’ll want to visit the Geode and watch a 3D documentary on its 1000m2 hemispherical screen, an experience guaranteed to amaze both young and old.

Nature’s wonders at the Natural History Museum of Paris

Since 2010, the Museum of Natural History has welcomed the whole family in the Galerie des Enfants, a space of over 500m2 that has been specially designed for children of 6-12 years. The tour begins in Paris and leads you under the sea or alongside the Native American tribes. Learn about biodiversity and environmental issues while having fun. Here, you don’t just look, you can also touch, just to add a little more to the wonder!

Fun in the Musée en Herbe

Opened in 1975, the Musée en Herbe offers art exhibitions for all ages, but with a particular emphasis on children. Here visitors become the heroes of an exceptional adventure. The museum also organises many art workshops, giving children of 3 years and older the opportunity to try their hand at painting, collage and sculpture.
