Experiences you should not miss during the festive season

As we head towards the Christmas period Paris is brimming with seasonal excitement. From close to the Hotel Pavillon Bastille you can take a fifteen minute ride on Metro line 1 to the Place del la Concorde to enjoy a unique view of the city, courtesy of the Grand Roue. This magnificent Ferris wheel will whirl you more than 60 metres high for an enchanting view of the Christmas lights of the city, and especially the Champs Elysées, where the world famous avenue’s 200 plane trees are festooned with garlands of festive illuminations. On that beautiful thoroughfare stands the enchantingly decorated chalets of the city’s most popular Christmas market, where you’ll find gifts and treats for all the family.

That same Metro line 1 mentioned above will also take you to the City Hall station. On the square before the City Hall you will find open air ice rinks, twinkling lights, music and happy people enjoying a wonderful time on the ice. Strap on your skates and join them for laughter and fun for all ages. There’s even a special rink for the toddlers!
